We, Lotta and Peder Wendefors, run the garden, Björnhyltans Trädgård.
The garden is located in the southern part of Tranemo Municipality, 50 min southeast of Borås & 90 min from Gothenburg.
Together with the association, Ambjörnarps Alliansförsamling, we arrange devotions of different types during the season.

Welcome to Björnhyltan’s Garden, a vegetable farm with a Show Garden, Farm Shop and Garden Café. We have lived on our farm for over 30 years and grown organic for self-sufficiency. For the last 20 years we have also sold vegetables in our Farm Shop and local area. Cultivation and food have been great interests ever since we were children, but we are also driven by the management of such a beautiful place on earth.

We have been guided by three key words since we started our company about 20 years ago:
WHOLE – We desire a life that constitutes a whole, where the inner hangs together with the outer, where the near hangs together with the far and the garden is a natural part of our way of living. Our vegetables give us food all year around and flowers brighten life both for us and others. Our life becomes a part in everyone’s stewardship of creation.
NATURAL – our way of cultivating is as close to nature as possible, making this place more fertile for every year. For your peace of mind, we are organically certified. Of course, we can enjoy what is grown in other parts of the world, such as coffee, bananas and chocolate, but when it comes to what we grow, we want to try to live according to the what the season offers.
LOCAL- For us local is important, that is why we, Lotta and Peder, like to meet you when you visit us, exchange a few words and share some thoughts or experiences. We believe in growing our vegetables for self-sufficiency, our friends and neighbours in the village, but also for the residents of our municipality and the adjacent ones. But further afield we hope that there are more farmers of the same mind.

Every Thursday and Friday at 17.00 during the Garden Shop’s open days, depending on the season, Peder is a guide in the garden. The guided tour costs 80kr/person and there is no need to book in advance.

We have a place for those of you who love being outdoors and are interested in looking at plants and animals. If you want to be active, we have a large pile of sand to dig in, a fun sling swing, and if you have tried the echo on the hill, you can saunter past the farm’s beehives, where you will get really close to the hum of the hives and our pollinators.
